What is CBD?
Cannabidiol, often referred to as CBD is one of the two main naturally occurring compounds found in the cannabis plant. Unlike Tetrahydrocannabinol or THC, which is the second main component, CBD is not psychoactive. This means that there is absolutely no way you can get your pet “high” by using CBD products without THC. Therefore, we made sure our product contains 0.0% THC. This allows us to get all the benefits from CBD without the potential complications of THC.
In June 2018, the World Health Organisation (WHO) published a Report on Cannabidiol (CBD) stating it's potential for having health benefits.
Potential Health benefits off CBD can be obtained in situations as
- Reduced desire to move
- Thunderstorm; fireworks, car rides, vet visits...
- Hotspots; itchiness and skin irritations
In addition to these several benefits. It’s the lack of side effects of CBD that makes it so attractive for long term issues. In the report the WHO expert committee came to the conclusion that CBD “does not appear to have abuse potential or cause harm.” In addition to this, in several animal and human studies there has been no sign of physical dependence on CBD, meaning it’s a non-addictive substance.
The findings and recommendations stated in the WHO report have pushed governing bodies to policy changes. Several countries including France, the Netherlands, Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Canada, and Australia have therefore relaxed and adjusted their regulations around CBD. However, some countries are still to adjust or properly regulate the use of CBD to the International standards.
